Meet Our Pastor

Family

Pastor Blythe is supported in life by his beautiful wife of over 20 years, Leslie. She is Pastor Blythe's virtuous woman and serves as an ALCC Advisory Board member.

Leslie also serves as the primary leader for the W.O.W. (Women of the Word) ministry and she volunteers in the preschool ministry. Leslie also earned an MBA from the University of Phoenix and has plans to own a business in the near future! She will serve as the Executive Director of the Abundant Academy Learning Center upon its establishment.

Pastor Blythe and Leslie are blessed to be the proud parents of Myles who is 8 years old. He enjoys LEGOs, school, singing worship and praise songs, and playing on his basketball and baseball teams!

The Blythe family has lived in Alpharetta for 10 years. Pastor Blythe is the 4th of 6 children born to the late Anel Blythe and Jessie Blythe Brannon of Spartanburg, SC.

Career to Calling 

Pastor Blythe was called to preach the gospel of Jesus Christ on January 1, 1994 and was licensed on February 20, 1994 and ordained on December 18, 1994 by Senior Pastor Elijah Jones, Sr. of Greater Zion Hill Baptist Church in Smyrna, GA.

Although he was fully committed to this calling, Pastor Blythe never believed that he would leave his very progressive and fruitful business career. Pastor Blythe was at the pinnacle of his corporate executive career when he received the vision for Abundant Life Community Church in 1999. He was operating as the Chief Service Officer and Senior Vice President of a then $17B company in the electronic payments industry.

After bathing the vision in prayer with Leslie and consulting his pastor, Rev. Craig L. Oliver of Elizabeth Baptist Church, Pastor Blythe moved from career to calling on January 25, 2002. Abundant Life Community Church was incorporated on March 11, 2002, the first organizational meeting was held on April 24, 2002, and the first worship service was held on Father's Day, June 16, 2002.

Personal

Pastor Blythe received Jesus Christ as his Savior and Lord on May 29, 1988. God has blessed him tremendously and equipped Pastor Blythe with several spiritual gifts to effectively lead our growing church. Pastor Blythe earned a B.S. in Management Communication and minored in Biblical Studies from Amridge University (formerly Southern Christian University) in Montgomery, AL with honors as a Magna Cum Laude graduate.

He loves the richness of God's word which enables him to deliver practical, timely, and holistic teaching and preaching to reach people who are believers, seekers, or doubters. Pastor Blythe is focused on educating, equipping, and empowering people to LIVE LIFE ON PURPOSE for Jesus Christ.
