Vision
Vision
Abundant Life Community Church exists solely to be an instrument God uses to lead people to eternal life through Jesus Christ.
Our vision is to see people of all ages, all socio-economic groups, and all races begin living abundantly. This abundant living is not primarily focused on ones social status but rather on their soul status. As a result, people will be educated, edified, equipped, encouraged, and empowered to live for Jesus Christ.
Our vision can be accomplished through a committed focus that helps everyone grow towards fulfilling their life's calling in Jesus Christ. To that end, our ministry is divided into four functioning pillars, led by ministry teams, to facilitate the manifestation of the vision and mission:
Pillars of Ministry
Worship and Praise
This team is responsible for ensuring the worship and praise atmosphere is set for all services from the first greeting to the benediction. The goal is to welcome everyone with the overwhelming presence of God's Spirit by the way we conduct and teach authentic worship and praise. This goal will be met through the faithfully consistent efforts of the Worship and Praise team: worship leaders, singers and musicians, intercessory prayer, media, drama and dance, and hospitality. Through this ministry pillar, everyone will grow to develop a life of personal worship and praise (John 4:20-24) and seek to glorify God and edify people in the corporate setting (2 Chronicles 7:1-3).
Outreach
This team is responsible for ensuring ALCC is involved in multiple acts of outreach based upon Jesus' commands in the Great Commission (Matthew 28:19-20). The goal is to build up every member and the church at large in the Christian responsibility of making disciples. This team will get ALCC involved with seeking and reaching the unsaved and unchurched across greater Atlanta and ultimately the world, building up those inside ALCC who are fading in their walk of faith, connecting with people across ages and cultures within the North Fulton community, and helping orient new members and new believers to Jesus Christ and ALCC (Philippians 2:1-5).
Christian Growth
This team is responsible for ensuring ALCC is presenting a well-balanced menu of small / focus group sessions whose aim is to build up God-dependent, Christ-centered disciples. Focus group sessions will be holistic in their approach and grounded solidly in the Word of God (Ephesians 4:11-16; Hebrews 5:11-6:12). Many have focused on Jesus Christ only as Savior, but this team will also help people grow to know Jesus Christ as Lord (Ruler) over every aspect of their lives. While the focus groups will help meet people where they are in a particular season of life, church-wide Bible studies, conferences, and revivals will also be their responsibility. Lastly, various counseling needs will also be addressed, conducted, and referred through this ministry team.
Youth and Young Adults
This team is responsible for all ministry, teaching, training, and development of youth between the ages of 1 - 21 years old. Our Youth and Young Adults are very precious to God and us, and we will implement very purposeful plans that seek, reach, teach, and retain this target group. This team will work very closely with the Outreach and Christian Growth teams to help formulate and pray through culturally relevant ways of connecting with this group. The age group is very broad, however; all ministry efforts will be conducted in specific age appropriate groups. Lastly, this ministry team will work very closely with the Youth, Young Adults and their parents to conduct ministry that will be reinforceable within the home, community, and school (Deuteronomy 6:1-9).
